Amputation of both feet

£93,000 - £110,000

This is treated very similar to below the knee amputation of both legs, this is because both have the loss of the ankle which is a big use to the lower part of the body.

Amputation of one foot

£46,000 - £60,000

Very severe foot injury

£46,000 - £60,000

To fall into this bracket you must have permanent pain or serious permanent disability.

Severe injury

£25,000 - £37,000

For you to be in this compensation bracket you must have fractures to both heels with substantial restriction on mobility or permanent pain. Other examples would be heel fusion, osteoporosis, ulceration or other disabilities preventing the wearing of ordinary shoes. Also would apply to foot deformity.

Serious foot injury

£13,750 - £21,500

The top end of the compensation bracket would go to those with grievous burns on both feet requiring multiple operations leaving disfigured scars and irritation. The lower end of the compensation bracket would be fusion of foot joints with the future risk of osteoarthritis.

Moderate injury to feet

£7,500 - £13,750

This bracket would compensate for permanent deformity and continuing symptoms.

Modest Injury to the foot

up to £7,500

Simple fractures, ruptured ligaments, puncture wounds etc. The symptoms where as permanent limp, pain or aching would compensate you in the region of £3,750. This would be straightforward foot fractures, lacerations etc from which the claimant would make a complete recovery.

Toe Injuries

Amputation of all toes £20,000 - £31,000

The amount of compensation is determined by whether or not the amputation was traumatic or surgical and the extent of the loss. This would also be in conjunction with the effects it has on your mobility.

Amputation of the great toe around £17,500

Severe toe injuries

£7,500 - £10,500

This would be the appropriate bracket for severe crush injuries which fall just short of the toe being amputated. This would also include bursting wounds and injuries resulting in severe damage and continuous pain.

Serious Toe Injuries

£5,250 - £7,500

This compensation bracket would cover injuries to the great toe or multiple fractures of two or more toes. There would be some permanent disability by the way of discomfort, pain or scarring.

Also where there have been a series of unsuccessful operations or persisting stabbing pains.

Moderate Toe Injuries

Up to £5,250

This would be relatively straight forward fractures or the exacerbation of a pre-existing degenerative condition. You would only receive in the region of £3,250 for straightforward fractures of one or more toes. This would be when the recover period is less including minor lacerations, cuts and bruises, with all of these injuries there would be a complete recover.
