Pelvis and hip injuries
Pelvis and hip injuries can be very serious when the claimant would need their leg to be amputated and would receive compensation accordingly.
The amount for normal pelvis and hip injuries would be generally around £37,500 , only when the severity of the injury if high would the maximum of compensation be higher.

Severe
£43,750 - £71,500
This would be extensive fractures to the pelvis which would be dislocation of a low back joint and a ruptured bladder.
A hip injury resulting in spondylolisthesis of a low back joint with a lot of pain and necessitating spinal fusion. From this there would be disability such as complicated arthrodesis resulting in a lack of bladder and bowl control.
£34,000 - £43,750
This compensation bracket would be for less severe injuries than the above, fractured or dislocated pelvis both ischial and pubic rami and resulting in impotence.
£21,500 - £28,500
Many of the pelvis and hip injuries would fall into this bracket. A fracture of the acetabulum leading to degenerative changes can also cause instability to the leg or legs. This would in many cases require hip replacement surgery in the future.
If surgery was carried out and was partially successful, surgery would have to be performed again you would be compensated accordingly.

Moderate injuries to the pelvis and hip
£6,750 - £21,500
This would be significant injury to the hip and pelvis but the claimant would not be permanently disabled or have a great risk of being do in the future.
Injuries of limited severity to the pelvis or hip
£6,750 - £14,750
This would involve many claimants getting compensation for hip replacements. The whole surgery must be a success for the claimant to fall into this bracket and also claims where the hip replacement may need to be re operated on in foreseen future as they are very limited in how long they last.
