Allianz predict changes by the Ministry Of Justice - 30/03/2008Allianz plans to restructure how they deal with personal injury claims, expecting alterations to be made by The Ministry Of Justice.
The MOJ has been planning to examine the personal injury claims system and is expected to officially state this in the new few months.
The adjustments in question consist of, getting motor and casualty claims to £25,000 faster by making sure desktop liability investigations meet the target dates suggested in last years MOJ consultation paper. How claims are used- with process mapping inspecting alerts.
Damages, liability, third party costs and termination of claims; The Department of Work and Pensions benefits would have an electronic compensation recovery unit.
NHS charges would also be looked at. Their uses of phone and electronic communications with prospective lawyers and a readiness to find more organized, logical working arrangements with them.
The new system in expected to be launched in April at Allianz’s claims handling centre in Woking, and will be re-examined before being sent to other areas.
Manager of technical claims Bob Rabbitts reported “Within the current system it takes too long to reach liability decisions and deliver compensation. Thereby increasing the cost of the claim. We believe that the changers we are exploring place the claimant at the centre of the process as well as reducing cycle times and frictional costs.”
A spokesman from Allianz predicted change in savings would be down to the amount spent on third-party costs within the MOJ scheme.
