Employer's responsibility at Work
Every employer is responsible for their workers while they are on their premises. The employer must keep the working environment safe and hazard free. Safety checks must be carried out on a regular basis especially if there is machinery on site e.g. factories. They must make sure that all exits, especially fire exits are marked properly and not blocked by objects.

Employee Training
All employees must be taught how to carry out their job correctly and safely. If an employee had an accident while working on a machine which they had no training for and did not know what safety aspects were involved while operating the machine, then they claim for compensation against their employer. This is the employer being negligent towards training their staff properly and showing them how the machinery or tools should be used safely.
Health and safety at Work
This must be carried out within every working environment. Different environments have different standards and safety features which may need to be added. Factories are probably the most hazardous places with heavy machinery and thousands of workers using them. This is why regular checks must be done in order to keep the workplace safe. The safety is not just the state of the building but the workers too, they must have adequate training to operate the machinery safely and also wear the right clothing for the job. Building sites require workers to wear steel toe boots just in case something was to drop on their feet, while doctors and nurses must wear hygienic clothing which would stop patients from being infected.
Accident at Work Liability Insurance
Every employer must have insurance to cover themselves from any accidents. This is requested by law. When an employee claims compensation the money is paid by the insurance company not the employer.
